Community Involvement

Our Commitment to Giving Back

Adler Law Offices, Ltd. and Attorney Charles Adler have been committed to helping individuals and community organizations with a goal of making a positive impact on people’s lives.

Free Legal Clinics and Referrals

Adler Law Offices, Ltd. has routinely provided free legal services to those in need, as well as to those who can afford an attorney but have run into an unexpected situation and need guidance in being pointed toward the type of legal representation they need. For those in need, our practice has conducted free legal clinics on an annual basis over the last several years. During these clinics, we specify certain days on which we put aside our “regular” practice and focus solely on assisting those who need our help. We publish notices in local newspaper and other outlets to announce our free clinics to the public. In addition to the clinics, the practice has a policy of helping individuals who contact us on their own. If someone has an issue outside the scope of our practice, we will make every effort to connect them with an attorney who has the specific knowledge and experience to help them.

Personal Community Involvement

On the personal side, Charles Adler has a long history of giving back to the community. He has been a director and/or officer of the Prairie Center for Performing Arts, Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, Arlington Heights Crime Stoppers Organization, United Way North and Northwest Suburban Region, and Project H.O.O.D., which is an organization dedicated to helping at-risk kids in the city of Chicago.

In addition to his involvement in existing organizations, Charles Adler has started his own community ventures. These include the establishment of a Thanksgiving food drive and a literacy program for children.

The Thanksgiving food drive was started from scratch and involved raising funds to purchase full Thanksgiving meals and distributing them to people in need for them to cook at home with their families. The meals included the whole works: turkey, gravy, cranberries, stuffing, vegetables, rolls, and dessert. With the help of generous folks throughout the region, the program grew to such an extent that it was eventually taken over by a local Rotary Club.

The literacy program was created to encourage reading from a young age—particularly among underprivileged children. Through the program, brand new books were purchased at a discount from a children’s book publisher and distributed to kids in need to read, keep, and hopefully foster a lifelong love of reading and learning.
